YMR is a super trendy premium sportswear brand from Sweden. I first came across the brand when it was featured in Attitude magazine. Harking from classic 1970s athletic design, the brand itself describes itself below:

'YMR Track Club was founded by the former Olympic long-jumper Peter Häggström Lindecrantz in 2017. When Peter, who jumped over eight metres in the long-jump and won six Swedish Championship golds for his club, moved back home to Borås, he wanted to do something to pay tribute to his sports club IK Ymer on its 100th anniversary. Peter studied old photographs and garments from the club’s archive and his own collection of retro-inspired sportswear that he collected from championships and camps along from different parts of the world.

The first garment designed and produced was an updated version of the club’s classic track pants from the 1970s. It had the crease and classic stripe along with the fit and fabric quality. Friends and acquaintances liked the track pants so much that Peter decided to design a whole collection. He made the club IK Ymer a part-owner of the company. One hundred years after the club was formed at Café Manhem on Österlånggatan in Borås, YMR Track Club went live. Each garment is characterised by the history of sport and fashion.'

I definitely have this brand on my list for when I begin running again. I am all for a bit of retro, so bring it on!
