This quirky Japanese brand again came to my attention through the amazing Monocle Magazine (www.monocle.com). If you want stylish fashion, weirdly enough go there rather than the usual suspects of GQ and Esquire who I think only do high fashion and quite frankly things we ordinary guys would never get away with wearing.
Anyway, back to Eyevan7285. From their website:
'EYEVAN started in 1972 as a concept of "glasses to wear" and went worldwide in 1985. EYEVAN's goods can not be faded yet, and in its products and handwritten drawings you can feel the high technology of producers and craftsmen and the imagination and strong enthusiasm of the design team at the time'.
Basically, that means it is good stuff! You always know Japanese brands are going to knock it out of the park. They just get style. The right side of quirky, but simple, stylish and wearable. You just have to look at Muji and Uniqlo to know what I mean!
Most of their styles are round (think Yoko Ono) but that works for my face. I have two pairs of Timberland glasses I wear occasionally as I tested that way but they don’t compare to these babies! #want
